Marvelous, magnificent Musical

Kia ora everyone and welcome back to my blog. The past week has been very yucky and wet but fingers crossed it will be sunny soon and we'll all be able to hang out with our friends and family outside. For the last two weeks in literacy, Shaw literacy learnt about the horror which was really fun since it is my favourite genre. This week in literacy, we learnt about music and movies or scenes from any musical we know. Our first task for the week was to research the genre musical and answer the questions that our literacy teacher had given us. Next, we had to find 2 different musicals and find/note down the similarities between them both. At first, I didn't like the genre musical but then when I watched some movies or some episodes I really started to like the genre musical. We had to write down what we knew about this genre. Here is an example of what I did...

I found this task creative and very simple to because we got to choose what movies we thought the similarities were. I like the sound of music very much and I haven't quite seen Singin in the rain but I've heard so many things about it, that's how I know. I think musicals sound happy and joyful because the person in the movie that's singing the song isn't sad or worried. Have you studied a genre before? Have you seen the Sound of Music or Singin in the rain? Thanks for stopping by and reading my post. See you next time!
