Kiaora everyone, welcome back to my blog. I hope your school year has been going well so far as it has just started and Summer is nearly over. For this week for Inquiry, we have been working on a poster for a helpline that we wanted to share with you guys. This is the poster that took me about two days to do, it was easy and really, really fun to do for a task in Inquiry. I decided to the SPCA helpline because I really love animals and helping them too. I put the phone number and their address for Christchurch SPCA just in case anyone needs to contact or drop off an animal that is lost or not looked after properly.
Overall I really liked how it turned out, I will definitely do it again in the future. By the way, I used the app Canva as it is a reliable and easy site to use. Just remember that if you see or have an animal in need for a better, reliable home the Christchurch SPCA address and its number will be here if you need it. I hope you like my poster. Have you adopted an animal from the SPCA and have you done a poster like this before?
I was a pupil at Marshland School and this blog is where I shared my learning. This blog has been archived, no further content will be uploaded or added. You are welcome to continue viewing posts, however commenting has been disabled.

Mathematical, statistical sports Investigation
Kia, ora Bloggers,
This term, in Numeracy we are doing a statistical survey on sports. I have chosen to look at the sport cricket with a focus on Australian cricket players. I have only completed half of my first question for the statistical investigation around cricket. The Questions I want to ask are: how many runs off one over, amount of people that have got 90's in their career, least amount of ducks in their career and the oldest player to score 100 runs.

Here is an easy link which takes you to my draft of the statistical investigation of the Australian cricket players.
Have you done a statistical investigation before? Have you started your maths program yet?

Fun, Samoan Alphabet Animation
Welcome back Bloggers,
Last week I posted about my Portrait, this week I'm going to be showing you my Samoan Animation that I did with a buddy. Every Wednesday Toroa has Technology so our hub is all split up, so we do Samoan when we are back at school. This weeks task for Samoan Language was to complete an animation about the letters and some words in Samoan, then to publish it to our blog.
I learnt heaps about Samoa and their Culture. They have two traditional dances in Samoa and they are called the Slap Dance that boys and male do, and the Sasa that the girls and women do.

Have you guys visited Samoa before? Have you learnt about their culture? Did you learn something about Samoa that you didn't already know?

- Samoans have their own version of cricket
- Dwayne"The Rock" Johnson is Samoan
- Tattooing is so serious in their culture
- It's normal and OK to see men wear lava lava's
- There is a third Gender in Samoa
These are just a few facts that I learnt about Samoa that I didn't already know.

Positive, Perfect Portrait
Kia ora Bloggers,
Welcome back to my blog. I hope you had a good holiday and enjoyed all the sunny days. I have enjoyed the time I had off, but I wasn't ready to go back to school after the six-week break. Summer is almost over, Autumn is about to start and the leaves are going to fall shortly.
The teachers told us to make a portrait of ourselves so then they can know a little bit about us. This is my portrait of me.
This is me, cooking utensils represent me liking cooking, the Mc Donalds fries and the pizza are me liking fries so much. Most of my family is from New Zealand, so I drew a New Zealand flag on my portrait. I love Netball and Instagram so I drew both of the symbols for them. I'm not much of a drawing fan so it probably doesn't look as good as you thought it would be.
Have you heard of Romero Britto and have you seen some of his Art? His art pieces are really bright and fun.

Have you guys done something like this in your classroom I hope you like my portrait? See you next time I post.
